The following are translations of the Domo-kun videos. The translation was done by Katy M. Pierce upon her return from Japan on 6.15.00.

#1 Domo’s Birth

Rabbit: What the...?
Baby Bat: Momma!
Mom Bat: It's okay.
Domo : Uh-oh-uh-oh.

#2 Mount the platform

Baby Bat: Momma!
Mom Bat: It's okay.
Rabbit: Would you like some tea?
T.V.: Thanks and good evening.
End: Domo , its BS

Rabbit: Don’t eat the T.V . (rugged command verb form, i.e. don’t eat the FUCKING T.V .)
Domo : (to T.V.): Here. (waters the TV)

Domo (in box, as a replacement for the TV that he broke): Give it to me.


#4 Rockin' the House

Rabbit: Domo, Domo, That’s loud (rude end particle, like dammit)
Mom Bat: Old Rabbit (maybe uncle or grandfather) show it to him.
Baby Bat: Please.

Rabbit: I guess it's all right. (Futile acceptance tone)


#6 Space Travel

T.V.: Can’t you see the beauty of Jupiter?
Rabbit: Jupiter? That’s pretty far.
Baby Bat: Bring me back a present.
Mom Bat: Hush.
Rabbit: Well, welcome back.
T.V.: Its people. People really live on [near] the earth . . . . .


#7 Domo vs. Godzilla

Rabbit: Tough Break. That’s the luck of the neighborhood. There’s people inside.
Mom Bat [to rabbit]: That’s not right. Saying things like that about a movie[not real].

Later:
Domo wakes up from a nightmare, Usajii chuckles quietly


#8 Domo's Talents

Rabbit: What? You want a job? Even if you say that . . . .[implied what the hell can you do?}
Domo demonstrates talents
Rabbit: No, because . . .[marker to state obvious]
Mom Bat: Let’s do it. Let’s put him on T.V.
Baby Bat: Momma?
Domo : Thanks you {understood thanks for watching}
Mom Bat: No no, that is bad. Any number of times everyday.
Domo : Thanks.
Mom Bat: One more time.


#9 Mayhem Flowers

Flower 1 : This is the inside here.
Flower 2 : Groovy [slang: awesome]
Flower 1 [to flower 2]: This isn’t kicked.
Flower 2 : [Dancing huh?] or likely [Second to none huh?]
Flower 1 : Yuh huh.
Flower 1 : sounds of exertion

Flower1 : Woah . . .crazy.
Rabbit: I am home.
Domo : Welcome back
Rabbit: Aww, aren’t these cute. Did you get them yourself?


#10 Respect Your Elders

T.V. Grandpa . . .Thanks
Domo : Here, I’ll do it.
Rabbit: It hurts, ouch ouch, it hurts.
Rabbit [glasses being polished]: Huh?
Rabbit [being tucked in]: Yes, yes, thanks. What is it? What What what? Domo don’t! Stop! It hurts!


#11 Domo Cooking

Rabbit: Hey this looks good. I want to taste this.
Strange Background chanting: Domo Domo Domo Domo Domo Domo
Domo : Here you go.
Mom Bat : What? This is inferior [defective]. [Baby bat falls from ceiling]
Rabbit: Uh, Suddenly right now somehow I am full. You can go ahead though.
Baby Bat: Uhhh
Rabbit: No! You have to stop. Domo! Hey Domo, oh no oh no oh no.


#12 Ta-Chan Mounts The Platform

Domo [sees snake]: Oh lala.
Domo [thinks snake is a phone]: Hello? Hello?
Snake: Crazy [implying Domo]
Ta-Chan {In a baby talk way}[to phone]: Its not black. It wasn’t my phone, this thing.
Ta-Chan [looking at Domo]: What a strange chocolate.

Later:
Usajii: Yes, yes what? Who?

Outside:
Ta-Chan : This is a house where you can watch T.V . That’s good.


#13 A Date With Ta-Chan

Ta-Chan : You did it for me and I am happy.
Domo holds up flowers 
Ta-Chan: Those are not yummy [delicious].
Ta-Chan : These beans come from Aoimori [Northern Japan]. They are high quality.
[Takes photograph]: that’s interesting [amusing]
Domo : T.V.
Ta-Chan : T.V .? Okay.
Announcer: Thanks [for watching]
Ta-Chan : Its okay to watch what you like.
Domo leaves
Ta-Chan : He is interesting, that guy.


#14 Rainy Day 

Singing voice: Where are you? Look up a little bit.
Morio: Momma!
Shinobu : It's nothing.
Singing voice: On the other side of the moon, beautiful flowers are blooming and I saw them.
Ta-Chan : Ahh, this sucks.
Domo : Hi
Ta-Chan : Domo.
Singing voice: Come to my side some more.
Usajii: Yes, here is some tea.
Singing voice: Let's be together.


#15 Up Too Late

Rabbit: Hurry up and go to sleep. You are a strange person so it’s a problem.
Rabbit: Wake up
Rabbit: Go to sleep.
Rabbit: Wake up.
Rabbit: Go to sleep.
Rabbit: [rude command form] Get up.
Rabbit: [rude command form] Go to sleep.
Rabbit: [rude command form] Get up.
Rabbit: DOMO.
Baby Bat: Old [grandpa] Rabbit, you can’t sleep. Domo, you too.


#16 The Magic Carpet

Rabbit: This is different from the one at our house, isn’t it?
Ta-Chan : They are completely different. This one can do a lot of different things.
Rabbit: A lot of things huh?
Mother Bat: Welcome back.
Baby Bat: Where is Domo?
Rabbit: Huh? Well I wonder.
Domo : Woo-Hoo!


#17 Franken-Domo

Baby Bat: This guy looks just like Domo.
Ta-Chan : This is boring, so I am going home.
Rabbit: Later [slang goodbye].
Ta-Chan : This isn’t scary at all.
